Fiat's marketing department had the bright idea, of plastic wrapping the cars of employes who don't drive Fiat cars.
The plants from Mirafiori and Pomigliano were chosen for this campaign, and Fiat motivated this action by saying "we decided we want to do everything possible to promote sales any way we can."
Well, those workers build the cars, they must know something we don't.

If I built cars for a manufacturer, I probably wouldn't want to drive those cars either. Unless they gave me one for free...

Regardless of reasoning, that is still kind of messed up. I'm in the Army, and that would be like me going and wrapping up everyone who drives a non domestic vehicle, because they work for the government they should drive domestic cars right?

This is even worse, as Fiat is a private, company.

Yeah, this is actually pretty hardcore discrimination. Even if they were trying to be "funny", there is the fact that someone is placing crap completely around a vehicle, possibly damaging it. Who in the world thought this would be a good idea?

No marketing company here, just Fiat's own marketing department.

That's a lot of trust you have in your work, I hope your boss is not reading this.

I more or less mean if I had to work on building one car every day, I wouldn't want to then go and drive that car everyday.
Unless it was a Zonda or something special like that.

If i had a car before I started working there, of course I would keep it. If the car I drove was something I really enjoyed driving, of course I'd keep it. If my car better suited my needs than what my company's current lineup offered, of course I'm gonna keep driving my own car.
I understand why they are doing it, but how they did it is what is wrong.
